About
How it all started….
Fiona worked as a professional chef for 10 years before going back to college to study Nutrition in 2013. It was during this time in college that she began to understand the true healing power of good wholesome food and this marked the beginning of her career as a Nutritional Therapist.
However Fiona’s path was to take another twist when she discovered while talking to other parents, that most parents were struggling to make meals that their children would actually eat. This struck a cord with Fiona as she too had a child who had a limited palette, aka a “Fussy Eater”.
Fiona had found through her own experience that involving a child in the cooking process, whether it’s chopping, stirring or even helping to make the shopping list, increased the chances of that child trying new foods. So she took a leap of faith and decided to teach children how to cook healthy meals, both sweet and savoury.
She started teaching children how to cook during the summer of 2017 where she held Summer Camps in Galway City. The camps ran for 3 very successful years until Covid hit. Fortunately Fiona was able to pivot her business online where she offered online cooking classes.
Thankfully all of that Covid business is behind us (well sort of) and Fiona is back in the Healthy Ever After Kitchen. 2022 saw Fiona back doing what she does best, sharing all of her delicious recipes during her Summer Camp in Galway. This year 2023 Fiona will be running an Easter camp in Galway City and for the first time ever taking her Kids Cooking Camp to Athlone for the summer of 2023.
