Healthy Chocolate Sauce
I ask you, what is life without chocolate? And what could be better than knowing that the chocolate you are eating is actually good for you and your family. Well I am going to give you a recipe of a Healthy Chocolate Sauce that is so easy and sooo good that you’ll never buy shop chocolate sauce again. Even though this is a healthy chocolate sauce, it does contain a tablespoon of butter, which of course is good for you but like everything else, only in moderation. The cacao powder is really high in anti-oxidants and a good source of protein, iron, magnesium and calcium. Anyway enough talk, let’s get down to business.
Ingredients
3 tbsp. cacao powder (not coco powder)
2 tbsp. honey (you can add more if you prefer it a little sweeter)
1 tbsp butter (heaped)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
50 mls cold water ( you can add more if you prefer it more runny)
Directions
Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a low heat.
Add the honey and stir.
Add the vanilla Extract and stir again.
Take off the heat and stir in the cacao powder. It will look a little lumpy but don’t worry.
Now add the cold water and stir vigorously until smooth.
If you like your chocolate sauce warm you can put back on a low heat for 2 mins.
